Walking

  • Walk slowly at a comfortable speed.
  • Keep your back straight, take long strides, and let your arms swing slightly.
  • Wear shock-absorbing shoes.
  • 3 times/week for a duration of 30-60 minutes each.

Aqua exercise

  • Get some help from instructors when swimming or doing other water-based exercise for the first time.
  • Search aqua exercise programs provided by community health centers for arthritis patients.
  • Have a rest every 10 minutes.

Cycling

  • Select a bicycle with straight handlebars and wear helmet. Ride a bicycle in bike lane or park.
  • Avoid cycling if you have osteoporosis or a problem with balance.
  • Have a duration of 20 minutes/time.
  • For a stationary bicycle, a duration of 50 minutes/times is suitable.
